Honestly, I never considered having a portfolio based on some template I found online—it just didn’t represent me. In my view, LinkedIn does a great job with that kind of approach, but building something on your own, something that truly reflects who you are and allows others to get to know you that way, feels invaluable. I experienced that while exploring portfolios from studios, developers, and designers. It simply felt different—you can sense so much about them: their taste, the quality of their work, even imagine their personality.
I don't consider my portfolio finished; it just happened to go live. This little corner of the internet is now out there for people to visit, and hopefully connect with those who enjoy this kind of space. I'll be sharing thoughts, lessons, and explorations around interfaces and more. Feel free to reach out—you can find me online as @juliorafre on several platforms.
This project will keep evolving with time and experience. I've drawn a lot of inspiration from others—amazing people on the internet whose work helped me shape this space. Some stood out for their design, others for their information architecture, and others are technical references in software engineering and development. I'll leave a list of them below.
